Fluke testing for your network cabling scope
APYS Projects offers Fluke cable testing as part of the agreed networking scope or a separately discussed testing requirement across India. Share your cable category, point quantities, client acceptance criteria and required report format before scheduling the work.
Define the test before testing the cable
Confirm whether the requirement is a permanent-link, channel or other supported test configuration. The tester model, adapters, selected test limit and calibration requirements must match the agreed scope. A wire-map or continuity result alone should not be presented as full performance certification.
Point identification and test records
Agree a unique cable ID for each point and reconcile it with the outlet, patch-panel and drawing schedule. The required report should identify the tested link, test configuration and result so the client can relate the record to the installed point. Confirm electronic report/export requirements and how failed or incomplete points will be documented.
Loss and performance measurements
Where the agreed certification test supports them, report parameters can include wire map, length, insertion loss, return loss and crosstalk measurements. These depend on the selected tester and test limit; they are not interchangeable with a basic continuity check. Agree the acceptance criteria before requesting a pass/fail report.
Troubleshooting and retesting
Discuss investigation of failed points, termination/cabling remediation and retesting as separate scope items where needed. A report should reflect the actual test outcome; no installation should be described as passing before its results are reviewed.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the site location, total points, CAT6/CAT6A or other cable specification, link type, point schedule, access arrangements, acceptance requirement and deadline. Fibre testing is a separate scope and should specify the required test method and deliverables.
